Honey, I'm home.

Well holy shit. All my expectations of camp were significantly exceeded. My audition earned me second chair, first desk viola in the symphonic orchestra, which is the second highest position for a viola player at the camp. [livejournal.com profile] jenneferre was co-principle with Will. We play Dvorak's New World, the IV (final) movement and a wonderful modern-ish piece by Pierre Mercure (A Canadian composer) called "Kaleidoscope". That may sound a little thin, but considering we had a week between first reading (for some) and performance I'd say it was am appropriated sized bite to chew off.

My cabin mates (the Bae-sept/B7 crew) made this years week. Alec, Will and Ryan returned this year with new additions Alastair, Joni, James and Alex. All just amazing awesome guys.. the talent just flowed in these people. Ever heard Metallica arranged for Cello quartet? You will, I have mini-disc recordings of Joni, Lief, Alastair and Eric's performance. Christ those guys are good.

There are so many highlights. The dances, jamming blues on the dock over the lake, late night erotic mad-libs (don't ask), cuddling with my babe Marie-Anne (it's all understood, worry not) in the theatre, peter and the wolf, David Heatherington playing show tune themes on the saw during the biggest thunderstorm I've seen in a long time, watching mars, getting married, James and I mocking the beach-twink bassoon players, waking ryan up with an air horn, jesus on a unicycle, pev in an orange rave-wig singing NKOTB songs.. OH DOCTOR!

I've got killer pictures to upload. Link to come.
