Ok, make brain go now.
Dec. 31st, 2001 11:12 amSo yesterday I got to see lovely, scenic and historic Scarborough. Ok, so to those of you who don't know the GTA, Scarborough isn't historic, scenic and definitly not lovely. Terry (
bigrock), Bob (
filmbear), Larry (
larrycub), Iain (
mathan), Scotty (
scottybear) and I (
nfotxn) shopped about in the fabulous "suburban district" of Scarborough ;). Then we did a great dinner the Outback Steakhouse: Fine "Ethnic" Cuisine brought to you by Pan-Global Corp.™ franchises. Ok, the food is good but my retinas are pretty much burned with boomerangs now. Here's the list we compiled:
The we returned Chez Scott & Iain and saw Muriel's Wedding which is a movie that's been on my "Should have been seen but through terrible cosmic fate has not.. yet" list. Of course as expected it was a really great movie, consistantly subtly ironic throughout and plain out old funny. Some great characters in that movie too.
So it's New Year's Day, which means it's Ray's (
stingray1975) birthday! *Hugs* bud!
Ok, I think we have to go get Terry some Poutine now ;)

- "Ab-Original" blooming onion. "Ab-Original"?! That'd be like "Métislicious Red river cereal" in Canada.
- No beat-root on the burgers. Not even the option. For shame.
- Croc'n 'round the christmas tree.. *shakes head*
- Boomerangs.. everywhere
- Their waiter "Jay" likes to check out peoples bums. Oh, that's a personal note. *ahem*
- No Kylie, Danniii, INXS, Crowded House, Midnight Oil, Severed Heads or The Living End playing.
- "Upside down" map
- No mention of Prscilla, Olympics, or weddings
- no posters of Pauline Hanson
- No Vegemite!
- There was a Koala climbing somewhere. Fake, I think
- Neighbours wasn't on the TV
