Went to bed at 8pm and now I'm very much awake again. There's some worries, Mom is presently securing us a new place to live for as early as the end of June. It's near where I am already although much smaller. I can deal with that, it'll be just the two of us really. What's best is that it'll be a place she can afford on her own when I leave home and it's literally in the same survey as her best friend. But the deal hasn't gone through, so I'm trying not to emotionally invest in it too heavily.

Is it a good idea to go for a haircut even though you don't have much hair? I suppose a touch-up is in order and I doubt they're gonna say: "Sorry, we can't take your money. You don't have enough hair." I've got untamed neck hair like you wouldn't believe.

Shaved it baby-smooth again today, I'm starting to get used to being without my beard. I think it's an important excercise in self-confidence. To be able to deal with your appearance in a variety of ways. I know I'm not looking for peer acceptance because none of my peers are around! And I've decided not to post pictures because this is purely a personal thing. Online peer mediation is cool and all, but not this time.

Did some experimenting with strings today on the sampler. Started using phaser modulating frequencies against tempo although I wish I had an equation or at least the context of the variables in the pluggins so I could be techno-stylistic. I can still do it intuitively as "a musician" but that takes trial and error and usually ends up off goal into the realm of experimentation. As a rule.

I understand that everything I'm doing has been done before ad nauseum, but it's good training. I like the sound of pitched-down strings phased with a big frequency depth against a drum beat. It's very digital but still human and warm somehow. To get context think of the last track on Transmission by The Tea Party.. "Aftermath" I believe it's called.

It seems lately Filter/Disco House is gaining huge popularity. I think it has to do a lot with the Gap's promotion of daft punk.

For those wondering, this is an example of Disco House. Not that fags have never heard it before... anyone getting flashbacks of making out? I think I am.

See, I prefer just straight up disco to this ketamine influenced junk. Honestly, it's totally disco on acid. It's still good without the acid, dammit.
