The best news all week
Dec. 3rd, 2002 01:34 pmMan, I am so happy today. Why? Because I found out that my bus which regularly goes over the bay by means of the oh-so-scenic industrial causeways will now be speeding over the Skyway bridge across to burlington easily cutting 45-60minutes out of my commute every day!
I meet the most interesting people on the bus. Like last Friday there was this dude who looked just like Cheech talking about the "awesome skunk he smoked at lunchbreak". He was wearing what looked like Mechanic's cover-alls which explains a lot about car repairs.
What's interesting about Hamilton is that even in the west end around the university and medical centre is that on public transit you're hard pressed to see anyone in so much as business casual. It still is after all these years very much a blue-collar town which actually makes me feel really at home. I'm not particularly sure why.
