Interview questions from [livejournal.com profile] freakystyle! Yay!
  1. How often do you put your nuts in one of the pockets of a pool table?
Frequently but only after many beers on a rainy day in May at the Black Eagle. So infrequently.
  2. When are you going to move to Toronto?
Well, to be honest I kinda like it more in Hamilton these days. Not that I don't wanna leave this hole! Don't get me wrong, it sucks here but the level of Extreme Angst® is much lower these days.

So the official answer is once I'm all gradumajated I'm outta here and off to seek my fortunes in the big city. I'm hoping to find a school where I can persue the technical end of music. Not too sure about that but more than anything I just wanna get knee deep in music and never come back.

    Anyone need a roomie?
  3. What are your thoughts on Pride Day in Toronto? Have you been?
What, do I look totally green to you? Well, that's because I am. Who wants chicken?! But honestly I've been to Toronto Pride twice before and I enjoy it thoroughly mostly because it's a big long weekend where I can see friends, be publicly off my face and oogle hot men with abandon.

Oh and like being proud and stuff. Yeah.
  4. How do you feel about downloading music from the internet? Is this going to be the death of the music industry?
I am complete and totally for it. I get a little pissed off when the powers that be assume that the internet isn't the economy. Times have changed and the industry needs to adapt, which it is but painfully slowly. That sort of anaemic response will likely cause the impending Big Chang in How Music is Sold that is looming. To me downloading music to me is both political and efficient. I do buy what I like and given my income I buy a dis-proportionate amount of records.

So Hillary Rosen can stick it up her floppy dyke cunt.
  5. Do you welcome new technology or do you think that it's more of a problem than a solution for making life easier.
Ask me this question in the past and I woulda been all "Yeah technology! w00t!" but today I really think that a lot of the newer systems we use are so basic and immature. It's like the paper vs. computers argument. Use a computer in the rain, pull out a page or highlight a word. Anything similar that a computer CAN do is just a simulation of paper! On the other hand you can't have people around the world collaborate on the same piece of paper in real time from their bedrooms. It's a combination of old and new that will really change our world. The latest gadget or techno trinket just looks like modern jewelry to me. No real purpose other than to signify status.

Interview avec [livejournal.com profile] bearzbub!
  1. Did you ever wonder if you should have been a girl?
I'm sure I've considered the idea before. It'd be cool to be control guys with my body and shit. But then I remember how much I love having a cock.
  2. Do you own any house plants?
Yes, many. My Mom is a total green thumb and I think it runs in the family. Thing is plants that I keep in my room often go neglected behind my monitor. I'm getting better though! I really love plants.
  3. Have you ever "acquired" items from past boyfriends?
A few houses, some import cars and a collection of fine wines. But honestly I haven't really dated too many people long term. I did come away from my last relationship having learnt A LOT about meeting somebody else's needs, that's for sure. I miss Dan frequently.
  4. Are there nude pictures of yourself floating around the internet?
Yup! And there's a set with me when I was 19 and an older gentleman floating around on the net. The dude I was with is a total weirdo but I think I look tawtally HAWT in the pics. I have shaved head and a goatee in them :) I'm not too stuck up about being seen naked, it's just not a big deal to me. But conversely I don't find the need to seek approval of my body from large groups of others too greatly via porn. So all my pics are strictly traded and not published or anything.
  5. Do some areas of your life seem like a game your playing?
Yeah, a really hard game that I suck at.

Often times life feels a little routine but I know that I can break that whenever I want to. It just takes a little initiative.

Interview with [livejournal.com profile] claudecub!
  1. How did you meet John ([livejournal.com profile] jgrizz), Greg ([livejournal.com profile] plaidninja), and Dave ([livejournal.com profile] cub4bear)?
Ok, so each person has their own story:
    • John [livejournal.com profile] jgrizz

So back in the day before Livejournal both John and I had these "weblog" thingies and I think I found John's just surfing bear web sites. I was all "shit, this dude likes good music, can actually design a page and is from Toronto. Oh and he thinks. Crazy". Didn't think too much of it, we chatted online and stuff.

I started coming into Toronto more often to go to the Bear Buddies Toronto Bear Night at The Toolbox where I'd liberally slut it up at the after hours party upstairs in the guest house. Afterwards I'm all buzzing in drunken post-coital bliss and then:

      "Dude!" I says.
      "Dude!" John says.
      "Dude, you're that Edgecrusher guy!"
I says. "Dude, yeah!" John says.
      "Excellent!"
      "Party on!" etc.

It was some form of Bill & Ted/Wayne's World momment that proved to me that we vibed pretty well. After that we continued to chat online, occasionally hang out and catch some good concerts. We're both what I like to call repressed musicians, that is musical people without a good gig to play. So in that respect we both understand eachother.

    • Greg

I actually met Greg via Livejournal! He'd been looking to hang out with more bears, as if my understanding, so one day he came over to hang out with us at Dave's. The rest is history. As you well know Claude Greg is infectious to be around. His sense of humour and general demeanor is just fantastic. Whenever I think "Man, meeting people on LJ is lame!" I just think of Greg. I can't say enough good things about him.

    • Dave

Dave is very special to me. We met when I actually hooked up to have sex with his ex. I was at their apartment when I met Dave and saw his G3 and brand spankin' new G4 cube. I know I'd found a kindred spirit. Anyhow, I blew off his ex and hung out with Dave. We get along real well 'cause we both love a lot of the same things. In so many ways we're very similar. But you can relate Claude ;)

  2. Describe a frustrating experience you had in the last while.
Probably living with my Dad. I've never had somebody invade my space so thoroughly, I just wasn't ready to spend that much time in close proximity to him.
  3. What dead musician do you wish was still alive and doing her/his thing?

All the generic rock stars come to mind. Then some tragedies like the late Pierre Mercure, a talented French Canadian modern composer who wrote a wonderful piece called "Kaleidoscope" that I absolutely adore playing. But really an artist's legacy outlives them in culture and I don't think I'm too hip on changing history.

  4. Has a song/piece of music ever made you cry? If not, talk about a song that evokes strong emotions in you.
I'm not afraid to say that there are a lot of piece that have really affected me. Too many to really name them all but the most powerful to me, given the time and place that I played it, was Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis by Vaughn Williams. It's arranged for something like 2-4 string orchestras in one chamber orchestra at a time. So for instance in a viola section of 4 players each player has a completely different part that may be speaking with another sub-division of the string ensemble on top or below others. It creates this beautifully huge harmony that a recording can barely do justice to. At the time I was playing it I'd just came out and was discovering a new world around me. It just really spoke to me and continues to this day.
  5. What's the most stereotypically gay aspect of you? (Aside from the fact that you're attracted to men!)
I'm definitely not repressed about my creative and queerer side. I really love design, architecture, literature, flavoured liqueurs and the girly drinks you can make from them. It's a real beef of mine that lots of people believe masculinity means being ignorant to the finer points of the world around them. Being only about titties and car parts isn't butch, it's just stupid.
