The Night's Own Actions

Last night was groovy chez Futursonic. Heidi Hazelton was a neat performer albeit very meek-ish. I suppose that's archetypal for a sensitive singer/songwriter type with an acoustic guitar and sampler. I really do of course imply meek and archetypal in the most flattering way possible. She was the genuine article and obviously felt her music very strongly.

I Am Robot and I Am Proud was pretty cool. He's an IDM type who plays on the floor cross-legged with his gear. Trés traditional Japanese I'd guess, or maybe he just couldn't find a table and I'm a xenophilous nerd? Anyhow, his music was very much along the lines of Plaid with cute music box melodies and rhythm that usually lands between flighty and danceable by tiny sentient mice.

Sorry, seem to be channeling a little Douglas Adams there.

Today's lesson to be learnt: White shirts get me in trouble at casual functions. If I'm not staining them with drink umbrellas in sudden torrential downpour I'm spilling Shawarma down the front. This trend of material mishap has been confirmed 100% of the time.

New Dandy Warhols record titled "Welcome to the Monkey House" came out yesterday. Go get it unless you're so passé... and decided that you were gay... in a way...
