Trains, Plains and Automobiles.
Sep. 28th, 2003 11:56 pmOk, ok, ok I really do need to update don't I? Frankly I've been quite enjoying my life offline and abroad although I have been keeping a journal and snapping many photos. Unfortunately I want to compile my photos and writing together but for the time being my webhost is in the process of litigating their provider. I'm still in no rush however so all is well.
So where have I been in the last week? Briefly summarizing until I post my more explicit notes: I arrived in London on Saturday, September 20th at Heathrow and spent the evening and following Sunday. In the evening caught the Eurostar and headed for Calais, France via the Eurostar train under Channel Tunnel. From Calais to Paris and then to Salignac which is in the Périgold/Dordogne region of the South of France. There was lots of driving really fast on tiny roads and touring villages up in the hills and good food and drink. Then back to England via Dover and then here to Inverness, Scotland where I presently reside.
Today I met up with my extended family here in Inverness at a marathon my Aunt Liz ran today. I’m enjoying the beautiful autumn weather and scenery here. I'm having a fantastic time and couldn't be more content and just downright lucky. I do miss my home, family and friends but I know that it's best for me to be away. Dad's pad here is really nice and I have all sorts of toys to keep me occupied until I start work. I really like this city so far and look forward to staying here for a while.
