I miss the excitement of summer. Out on a patio on a busy street with lots of friends, the inconsequencial din of summer time music on a stereo in the peripheral. Nothing to do but wax poetic and enjoy the weather.

The winter is geting to me already, and it's been short this year. Only a few more weeks, if spring is on time.. but the weather is less than normal lately.

I was just thinking that today, myself. Going out with a light jacket, or just a long-sleeved shirt (I sunburn, don'cha know). Going for long walks, unhurried by the certainty that your ears will fall off. Hikes in the park. Bike rides. Getting out the ol' scooter so I can actually get places on my own without relying on the bus system.

Infusions' patio opens near the end of April, I think.

One of my favorite, simple summertime treats is just walking the 3 miles around the lake. Nothing to it but the occasional frog or turtle, some deer, and a few pretty water birds - but it makes me feel really good.

I miss SoCal summers... going to the beach, playing in the waves, getting a big Slurpee at 7-11 afterwards, and then maybe to a mexican restaurant for chips and salsa and tacos.

Yeah, I used to do that at my uncle's farm. There was a large pond and a river that went for a few km. And corn fields are way fun when you're 12.
