Today is definitely a Kruder&Dorfmeister day. Just bumming around looking at the fine wares of House Industries, their Neutra line of typeface, furniture and textitle is pretty interesting... although the name makes me think of neuter. I'd guess it's supposed to imply neutrality. Nice looking and completely and totally out of my price range. Forever.

Bought two new records yesterday. Prophets of Sound - New Dawn which is fun they're-so-funky-I-think-I'm-gonna-throw-up house. The Hatiras b-side is nice to listen to as preparation for his gig on the 25th that I think I'm gonna go see. He's gonna be spinning with a bass player and vocalist which should be neat. I'm not usually a big on the crazy circus disco sounds but he seems to have toned down the cheese since Spaced Invaded came out. Hopefully the cover and dress code won't be in the stratosphere. The other record was the 2LP soundtrack for The Saint which has some older (albeit very popular) songs on vinyl including Atom Bomb, Setting Sun (inst), Pearl's Girl, Dead Man Walking and Da Funk amongst others. A steal at $8.

This Saturday my boys in Red Label are playing another show at ol' The Transit Union with some decent locals rather than more newbie punkers like last time. I am torn between supporting friends and seeing the opposing Weakerthans at Das Underground. I'll probably end up at the Red Label show drinking cheap beer in the pool hall under the club.

Ah, living the life of a socialite.
