Browsing the aisels of The Safeway downtown today I noticed things that reminded me of my friends back home. Daddies Favourite Sauce, Old Jock Ale etc. Every little bit reminded me of them and I smiled knowing that before long I'll be returning. This is in sharp contrast to Christmas Eve when I did my shopping after work and just about burst into tears at the Deli Counter.

Hmm, last day off. It is time for more sleeping.

They have Safeway in Scotland? It's like the Starbucks of grocery stores!

*screams*

The prices for the Roast Beef!

No, I was just all alone X-mas eve and indulged myself with pity. But it's cool now.

Yeah, but Scotland is the Canada of Britain. And all their suppliers are co-operatives and whatnot. So the Safeway here is really just a brand as they sell all the same stuff any other place does.

So was poor selection, atrocious customer service and icy parking lots part of the nostalgia?

What's the "Daddies Favourite Sauce" label like? Sounds like good T-shirt material to me.
And, uh, what's IN this sauce, anyway?
