I'm glad Lorenzo and Justin have a (relatively) nice new place. It's totally wild that in Hamilton you can rent an entire house for less than the cost of a non-ghetto 1bdrm in Toronto. But then again it's downtown Hamilton.

Anyhow the party sucked. I drank Disco Coke† and installed and secured Windows on Renzo's computer. It was that, play X-Box (*yawn*) or sit in Justin's room and deal with bad ultracore numetal punk and too much smoke. There were lots of teenagers who showed up who can be totally cool but often in large groups tend to swing the vibe towards things I kinda don't want to do so much. Like Just drink or Just smoke pot or Just play videogames. I ended up home at nearly 5AM spending my night getting trashed in front of somebody else's computer.

Major bummer.

Tonight, however, ruled out loud. And it was shit simple. Ian ([livejournal.com profile] etherlad) and Jenn ([livejournal.com profile] sassy_fae) joined Shivani, Aaron and I with some DVDs. We made a Lemon Meringue pie, drank tea and watched MST3K and Dare Devil. Jenn managed to get my poor little electric blue Cichlid totally worked up. I had no idea that fish was so entertaining while angry.

I discovered I have such a pertinent need to be just at home and relaxed with good friends. Partying is all well and good, christ, it's been years since I've just allowed myself to geek-out regularly. Wait, not even geek-out really. Just do things that keep me close to important people that are rather inscouciant but familiar and affirming.

But most conveniently my entire tab this weekend has been precisely $0. Which is good 'cause right now that's mere change below my net worth.

† Just combine your favourite Cola flavoured beverine and a shot of Goldschlager cinnamon liquer and enjoy. The gold flakes floating about make it disco-y.

When did the New Kids on the Block become popular again? ^_^

Which MST3K episode?

They only aired that here for a few months, and usually in hour-long installments instead of the whole movie, so you'd tune in next week and find it pre-empted by football or wrestling... at 1am.

I'd really like to see what they did with "Danger: Diabolik".

It was "The Brain that Wouldn't Die", the only one we have on DVD. With commentary, it's very silly!

Hey Brodie, did the pie ever solidify? :D

I would just like to point out that Jen and I made the pie. (Jen the party that knew what she was doing).
