Minor Points

Been busy in the real world lately.

- Working outside in the garden centre. It totally rules. Yesterday I set-up water lilies and watered petunias, pansies and violas. I get to wear whatever I want.
- I got my $505 back from RBC plus an apology letter from their marketing manager for the area.
- Went to the gym for the first time despite signing up weeks ago. Did 30mins of cardio, felt it right where my RSI injury is (pec minor/scapular). Still felt really good. Just probably gotta like take it really really easy when doing shoulders/chest.
- Got a new family doctor. Haven't had one in ages. Good feelings.
- Saw the Optometrist for the first time since 2002. Picked out a new set of shades. They're chrome half-rims that look nice and transparent. They're kinda like Phil's glasses. Trying a month of contacts too so I can see what this "peripheral vision" thing is all about.
- Brother is totally fine. Although he won't be drinking around me for some time.

About time you got your $500 back. What was their justification for turning you down and all of a suddent giving you your money back?

A gesture of "goodwill" just like ruralrob suggested they'd end up doing. They've got all their bases covered with the Interac™ (Canadian answer to Mastercard/Visa debit) card agreement. Which is unfortunate 'cause now I'm just using my Visa card to make direct purchases so I don't have liability anymore.
