Word are a little tough to come by right now, I'll try my best to express myself. I've been a little tongue tied lately, if that wasn't completely obvious in a previous post. Grammar just isn't a priority right now *shrug*

So, as mentioned, Dan and I went to IKEA Etobicoke (Happy Dave?!). We really had no solid plans for the night other than getting to know each other in person.

And I gotta say, I like Dan's person. He's even more fabulous looking than the pictures lead on.

So yes, umm, IKEA! The new Etobicoke store is really impressive. Not a quantum leap from the Burlington store but most definitely larger. The IKEA radio is a neat idea but it really sucked as their voice actors were terrible in that small TV network afternoon cartoons host/ess way. We quickly turned it back to EDGE 102 to save our fine dramatic sensibilities (Ok, I don't want a comment about that, I have a can of mace and I'm not afraid to use it). But the store has new stuff for 2002 that I hadn't seen. I also scored a catalog to beat off to tonight.

We planned on having us some nominally decent Swedish cuisine at the restaurant but at 8:11pm the snippy rice queen at the counter informed us the restaurant closed at 8. So we ran back through the maze escaping IKEA only browsing. I'm rather proud of that, I always end up buying a CD rack, picture frame or kitchen impliment of some sort. I figure it's only 'cause we were occupied with each other *grin*

So, it turns out Etobicoke has lots of good places to eat. We ended up choosing Thai at Thai Delight which turned out to be just that. A cute family run place that I gotta say I liked more than the Coco Penis down in the Church & Wellesly queer ghetto. Sweet, salty, sour, bitter, hot and "mun" indeed. The mango chicken was excellent even in my jasmine tea ;)

Returned to Hamilton and went to the Second Cup, Chatted and sipped chai and peppermint tea.

For the lack of more accurate and less cliché words the night was magical, enchanting and even surreal. And we haven't even gone to Cedar Point yet.

I saw your postings on QueerbyChoice's Friends list and yo seem like a cool kinda guy , so I added you to my friends list . I LOVE Ikea too , we have one about 10 miles away In Warrington (nr Manchester UK , where I live) and I have accumulated so much Ikea 'stuff' - especially the clever kitchen gadgets and the nice prints they do .... Well , that's all from me , except to say 'Hi' again ! Bye !
