Here's the new photo I'm using for The Hamilton Philharomic Orchestra program. My bio is really lame:

Brodie Chree is a 19 year old Hamiltonian high school student. He's been playing the viola for 10 years and studies with Ilona Spleit. Brodie originally started in the Hamilton Wentworth School board "Strings" program with Kosha Braun and continues to volunteer his time to the West Hamilton Strings Orchestra. He looks forward to pursuing a career in music production or perhaps performance.

Ok, so the last few days have been total bummers. But that's the end of that! Today I got my bio off to the HPO, got the music and rehearsal dates. Then zipped off the westdale, got a fresh transcript (they gave me my original, it looks like a bank bond.) ran it over to Westmount. The principal was far nicer this time, went over my transcript, signed a guidance form and sent my across the hall to student services to make an appointment. I will be in classes by next Wed. It also helps that Westmount is being renovated and they're on half-day schedules! That means there will only have been 8hrs of instructional time I've missed when I start on Wednesday! That was a lucky break. What's shitty is that I have to rehearse during the day on the Wednesday from 10am-12:30pm. Shit. But I've told my guidance councilor that, she was rather impressed. It should all be good.

Now I have to go buy a new black jacket and a white bow tie. I love buying dress clothes, something about it makes me feel good. But first I'm gonna site my part for the Elgar I'm playing, it looks pretty tame. Nothing too dangerous but it's gonna be hard to get all of this up to speed for the Saturday after next.

Oh, and I also got my CAT sandals repaired finally! I love 'em so much but the stitching keeps neatly coming out of the plastic clips that attach the straps to the sole. Easy repair job, but two have broken already. While I was waiting for the cobbler fix 'em I went for some cheap lunch at the McDonald's in the Wal-Mart in the mall to pass the 15 minutes it'd take him.

It was the saddest place I've been in a while.

Girls younger than me with babies and older women just sitting there because they have nothing else to do. There was this other woman who looked plunked straight out of Dynasty or Days of our Lives who I had to triple-dodge on my way in. She had such a frightened and guilty look in her eyes as such clutched her purse. I'm willing to bet she stole something and thought I was undercover security. Another lady much has snuck 10 coffee creamers into her bag. The woman who served me must have been well into her 50's and taking all this abuse from these grizzly and disgruntled Wal-Mart patrons. She had a very worn face, but piercing grey eyes with a strong sign of sincerity in them. I gave her my most sincere "Thank you very much, have a nice day." and those eyes lit up and a smile stretched across her face. Not a put on "This is how my manager told me to smile" sorta face but only the kind that you can produce when somebody notices you and reaches out.

Later when I got parking outside of the HPO office a nice gentleman parked next to us leaving offered his parking pass, it was good for another 30 minutes.

What goes around, comes around.

Ok, even I can admit it. I look damn FINE in this suit. I wanna wear it to bed.

Oh, and I'm not a rectangle just inept at making my own measurements. I'm actually W44" and C48".

Yay! I'm not a geometrically challenged human being. Yay!
