School is a load of various coloured tapes right now which I'm forced to cut through. More info later, it's looking good though. Next week I should be settled in, I'm trying my best not to freak out. That would be counter productive.. it's a big mental road block for me. The dividing barrier between now and the rest of my life. And it's fucking simple, so I'd best just get on with it. I'm sick of being stuck in a rut, and golly if I'm not gonna punch through this one.

So there you have it. Write your own segue.

Daft Punk: Alive 1997 is really fantastic. Those guys can mix live quite well. Point winamp to (Ctrl+L) 24.244.198.112:8000 to listen. Or open the IP in any other player that supports mpeg audio streaming.

Must find a copy of View. Must see live music. I think that's what I'll do for my b-day weekend, go see some live anything. I really don't care what, just any music. A cover band on Hess, some indie emo at Raven. Whatever.

For my birthday I want to sit in a smokey corner with a dirty pint of domestic ass drippings with some friends not worrying about ANYTHING but having a good time.

Ian ([livejournal.com profile] etherlad) has cool news for any Sierra adventure game lovers.

Ahhh, memories *water dissolve to 12-year-old geek boy in front of his PS/2 Model 30*

] OPEN DOOR
I'm sorry there is no "door". Perhaps you should be more specific.
] OPEN RED DOOR
I'm sorry there is no "red door". Perhaps you should be more specific
] OPEN FUCKING DOOR
I'm sorry there is no "fucking door". Perhaps you should be more specific.

*undisolve*

Ok, so I'm doing a fantasy stock market challenge somewhat against my brother ([livejournal.com profile] tootired).

Now, paypal has an IPO coming up on my birthday. Stocks are being sold on NASDAQ for $12-15 on the 7th.

Now does anyone know how you find out the ticker name of an IPO? Do I have to wait until the day they start selling shares? 'Cause the ticker lookup seems to be no good.

PS. I'm also trying to diversify my portfolio by investing in Citigroup which is behind the new competitor to paypal called "c2it". Thing is, Citigroup has sooo many different stocks. I'm not sure which one is related to c2it.

I know tech stocks are totally toxic right now, but I think the small online money transfers market is a really big deal.
