Now that was a rehearsal
May. 9th, 2002 08:34 pmYeah, so more repetoire gets stacked up. One of our violinists who's leaving this year wants to play the 3rd movement from Summer (That's like Vivaldi, and stuff) at the spring recital. Site read it today, I remember three years ago playing with Tori Lindsey it was absolutely labourious and I thought I was going to die by the end. No problem this evening. None at all.

And like I didn't know I was a mage according to the WoD Quiz. Duh. I hang around Ian (
etherlad) enough to osmosify more White Wolf info than most players. PS: Ian Day® will be re-scheduled.

I think I deserve a good viola.
All those rich kids I've met in various youth orchestras have wicked instruments and don't work half as hard as I do. Trust me, I've been in master classes and rehearsals with them. The thing has NO response on fast passages, the attack is just so crunchy and muffled. I mean, sure my playing could improve but it's really hard to do when your working with CRAP. A real catch-22 sorta situation. And let's not even talk about projection, I'm suprised anybody can ever hear me play in an ensemble.
( Lemme tell you the story of my present viola... )
