The past and stuff
Jan. 11th, 2003 03:46 pmThis was a fun quiz to recall the past, albeit in a sorta downer way... I've figured out that I'm really too young to remember a lot of this stuff or to have really understood the implications of the events.

When terrorists knocked over the World Trade Center (9/11/2001)
I was having breakfast in front of the TV getting ready for my first rehearsal with the HPO (Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra) as a guest student to play Elgar's Enigma Variations at the back of the Viola section. Needless to say the tone of the rehearsal was pretty unusual that day. Unfortunately a great deal of the material I was to play got cut to make space in the programme for some respectful pieces. Every time I hear Nimrod I'm reminded of 9/11 quite vividly.
