As I said I bought a new musical instrument. A Behringer Eurotrack MXB1002 which whilst not exotic is the Honda Civic of analog mixers. Reliable and sturdy, holds few tracks but doesn't attempt to do more than it's mandate. Now to get an audio interace to go along with it and start some serious recording.
