Feh. Have to talk to Westmount more today, more paper work and more clueless guidance councilors. Making out my xmas cards tonight although I'd much rather be making out of course. A little late but I think I can manage to get them off in time although I'd rather be getting myself off.

The Weekend In Review

Friday
I suppose the weekend starts Friday night? Went the chamber from 4:20-8PM, it was as well and good as usual, perhaps a little more tiring. We're gearing up for a performance at Chapters in benefit of the Children's Hospital at Hamilton Health Sciences. It's the first time I'll be playing the Teleman Concerto in public, should be interesting. Not that I'm stressing too much. So yes, chamber orchestra == busy and exhausting. Saw [livejournal.com profile] jenneferre near the end of rehearsal, she'd came home from UofT and stopped in for a visit. Of course her idea of visiting is picking up a violin and sight-reading the Violin I part of Copeland's Hoe-Down. Which is Royal Conservatory grade 10 violin work. Yikes. Poor girl lost one of the pins in her eye-brow ring and had to borrow a big gaudy pink rhine stone one. Went home and chatted on AIM until a rather ungodly hour considering I had to be at Mrs. Braun's for 8AM the next morning. Oy, help me.

Saturday
I dunno what was in me but I actually got up without being too much of an ogre and made it to Mrs. Braun's for 8:30, which is rather ok really as the kids need time to setup and get tuned and whatnot. Luckily there's others to do the tuning now, so I don't have to get little 1/4 sized violins stuck in my beard by the fine-tuners. I only get called in when there's a violin emergency. Replacing bridges and stings and whatnot. I swear I'd be so fucking rich if I got paid for it. The church we were rehearsing in was doing renovations so there were loud drilling sounds at times, perhaps that's what kept me awake? I'm not sure.

So I was really freakin' tired but I pulled through. Went home briefly, checked e-mail and grabbed a bite to eat before heading back down the escapement to Ryerson Church where Mrs. Spleit was rehearsing. She wanted us to run through the first movement of the Teleman Concerto in front of an audience so she used her kids orchestra (The East Hamilton Strings aka EHS) as an audience for us. It went fine although Lisa Sutherland was in the back row. She's the tragic girl from IMC who couldn't get it through her head that I both found her highly unattractive as a person AND that I'm gay. Some long time readers may remember her as "Dino Girl". The whole 15 minutes I was there I could feel her Dino Girl lazer eyes trying to shoot me. It was freaky, and it didn't help that Milan was behind her, I believe he helps EHS players now too. He was waving, I had to wave back and of course Dino Girl thought I was acknowledging her. *shakes head in disappointment*

Went home and gabbed on AIM and ICQ a bit. Talked to Punk Dave and [livejournal.com profile] jenneferre and found out about his party. Scored a few hours of sleep then went out with Paul ([livejournal.com profile] zer0ith) for a coffee and a drive around in his girl mobile. Picked up a 12 of now notorious Smirnoff ICE at the LCBO. I llike that stuff.

The get-together really stunk at first. Mostly kids from Red Label's shows sitting around smoking dope and complimenting eachother's really brightly coloured hair. Some drunk jerk-wad named Sean hit [livejournal.com profile] jenneferre really hard. He actually had to be told to leave. That never happens in my circle of friends. What a dick head, I was so ready to go beat him up. I mean I really don't get all jockish and "let's smash some heads" very easily or often but he really pissed me off. When I found out how wasted (and scrawny) that boy was I didn't bother. He left in a cab with no money, what a loser. Luckily everything got better after that. Jeff, Renzo and John showed up with Dave ([livejournal.com profile] evad, yeah! He has an LJ too! Weird eh?) the cute guy from Winnipeg. His LJ user pic doesn't do him justice, trust me. He looks almost exactly like [livejournal.com profile] teljanin which was sorta creepy at first. Although he is a heterosexualist. Darn it all eh?

The night turned to day and we all kept an excellent buzz and just shot the shit with buddies mostly old and some new. I hit the downstairs couch 'round 4AM and slept until about 11 when we all trekked out to the Canadian Pancake House (much like IHOP) to get breakfast. I like breakfast. On the way back we passed a Catholic Church (Canadian Maryr's on Emerson to whom it may concern) and under Renzo's advice we all held hads and looked knowingly into eachother's eyes. Man, the looks we got were classic. I was pretty tired by then so I caught the bus home with Chris where we met the crazy time traveling man. Went home, read a few chapters of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and crashed like something that crashes really quickly into a deep and dreamless REM sleep. Day Sleeper indeed ;) Mom went a reading of A Christmas Carol with her friend Sharon and Dad left to UW to see Aaron and deliver various IKEA goods for his place in (H)Erb St. So I had the place to myself. I would called a trick over if I weren't so darn tired. I just slept and slept. Then woke up and chatted on AIM, wrote some bitter LJ posts and went back to bed.

That's pretty much how my weekend happened.

YOU were ready to beat him up?? It took all the control I could muster not to beat the shit out of him. But i figured I've bled enough in Dave's house, I had better not be responsible for more.
