Dec. 5th, 2001 02:24 amI had a most excellent chat with
sonoranbear tonight! We were talking on AIM voice chat.. it was ok, ya know just conversing when I decided to hook my recording balance to the main mixer balance and get some background music going. After that it turned into one-on-one nfotxn radio. It was tons of fun and I'm sure once I get my cable modem installed I'll be broadcasting a shoutcast this holiday season for all to enjoy if they'd like.

City-Zen Radio..
Date: 2001-12-05 12:04 am (UTC)Brodie, you rock my world. Pure and simple. Most wonderful expansion of musical knowledge and friendship.
Plus abusing AOL/Time-Warner's bandwidth made me feel all tingly inside.
*OFF THE FLOOR HUGS*
Re: City-Zen Radio..
Date: 2001-12-05 04:35 am (UTC)(Tangent: Want to know something weird? Mark Bingham's favorite track off that album was Psychosexual; we'd usually have that album along on road trips circa 1992.)
But what, Brodie, did Aphex have to do with Vic Acid? Isn't that just Squarepusher? My copy don't say nothing bout no Richard James...
PWEI
Date: 2001-12-05 09:56 am (UTC)More PWEI trivia: in high school and college, my friend Stef was adept at cheering me up whenever I was down. "Jason, you need to get poppycocked," she'd say, and throw on "Orgone Accumulator." Then we'd get up and dance like morons until I felt better.
Re: PWEI
Date: 2001-12-05 10:05 am (UTC)For whatever reason, I never could get into anything before or after Cure For Sanity. Especially Dos Dedos, which I tried to force myself to listening to on a road trip to LA, but I just couldn't deal with it. Go figure.
I suspect Flood had a lot to do with the greatness of Cure For Sanity, but that's just one bruin's opinion.
Re: City-Zen Radio..
Date: 2001-12-05 08:42 pm (UTC)Those boys were so underappreciated. I put "Cure.." and the Beastie Boys "Paul's Boutique" up as the pinnacle of the sample/funk/hiphop style of the early 90s transatlantic experience.
And HEY! Welcome back globetrotter(s)! You guys still thinking of coming through AZ this holiday season before you jet off to Australia?
HUGS!
Give me Big-Mac and Fries to go..
