It's nice to see the people you grew up with. My Mom and her friends were having a post xmas get together and they decided that considering all their children were home from various places (Waterloo, Australia, Japan, Toronto etc) that they'd have everyone get together. I'd grown up with Alexi and Sarah, daughters of my Mom's friend Sharon most of my life as they were both single/divorced Moms. It was funny talking to 'Lex again, she goes to Ryerson U which is right down in the homo ghetto in Toronto, about the bars and clubs we go to. It was wild because all the places I go to (toolbox, eagle) she's only heard horror stories. Although we've both been to Woody's and Buddies. I hadn't seen her old sister Sarah in nearly a decade. Really rather funny that in that time she's got two degrees, taught in Japan, got married, had a child and bought a home. She was shocked that I've gone from being "cute rolly-polly little Brodie to big bearded rolly-polly Brodie". Met up with Lindsey, Marz and Brender at the cup in Westdale ripped on the massive amounts of wine people had brought to the get together. Did our standard chai and convo, came back here and played trivial persuit.

It's at times like this that you notice how much has changed. I'm glad I like it just as well.
