Cheap beer is better than cheap spirits; I know someone who stopped talking to someone for getting a bottle of Savon-Osco tequila. ^_-

I think Savon-Osco is a mezcal not a tequila. Did it have a worm? Mezcal are generally lots cheaper than real tequila.

Not that it's reason to stop talking to somebody..

Beer is something you force yourself to get used to, I find. I enjoy it vastly now, used to hate it. Seems to be the case with most folks.

See, I've heard that before, and I think, "Why bother?"

In my opinion, if you're going to put something in your mouth, shouldn't it at least taste good?

You'll have to speak up. I try to keep a few good brews around the house and you're always welcome to one!

I made it with Steam Whistle. "Brewed at the historic roundhouse in Toronto, Ontario"

It's a good beer, but not a great beer. I wouldn't waste sleeman or stella on mere chicken!

Usually the darker porters and stouts make good cooking beers. Especially if you are steaming or braising. Maily because of the complex flavours they have.

A good combination is Pete's Maple Porter (which they don't seem to make any more - rats) but it was awesome to cook some sausuages with and once they were cooked, you can reduce the liquid a bit and make a nice sauce.

Beer is amazing to cook with. :)

I've already discovered the joys of cooking with beer! I love steaming hotdogs, kielbasca, etc in beer - and just recently tried cooking a corned beef brisket in a pressure cooker with beer and man-o-man - it was deeeeelicious! Not to mention you get that smell of cooking beer all thru the house! LOL!

Try some of the sweet flavored beers out there for cooking, too! Cherry wheat was a great cooking experiment!

Honey glazed beer-butt chicken is good.

Just open the bottle, shove the bottle up the bird, set it upright on the bbq, and cook at 350ºF (177ºC), and of course, glaze over with a nice thin honey coat for an extra dash of sweetness.
