Anyone got $3000 I can borrow?

Honestly, the VP-9000 really excites me. Reading about it is literally altering my heart rate. Controls formant, time and pitch completely independantly. This means you can slam loops of any tempo against eachother and play them all at any tempo. It seems almost too automated, but the creative possibilities are huge too.

Thing is, it's $3000USD and only has 8mb of sampling memory. That ain't much, even just for phrase sampling. 'Course it's expandable.

Otherwise it's perfect!

Can you expand it using SIMM/DIMMs or does it use a proprietary memory card of sorts? I think Roland tends to go proprietary don't they?

They use 72pin 60ns SIMMs! Finding a 128mb 60ns 72pin SIMM will probably cost as much as the machine now-a-days!

128 mb 72 pin memory chips prices
