Ever wondered why you despise stupid/generally blissful people? Then wondered why all your friends are messed up like you?

Perhaps it's not mutually exclusive? Maybe they have it figured out and you don't.

If you're talking about the people who are constantly on, and always happy for no goddamned reason, then I've always assumed they had no clue, and were off on the ignorance is bliss track.

I'd rather be free and miserable than be some blind, happy puppet of some institution, like the Church. Besides, you perceive happiness but I'm sure 90% of the time something not so happy is going on beneath their facade.
