Feb. 21st, 2002 09:44 pmSo today was hectic but enjoyable Bren's Dad was going to the AGO to see Yoko Ono's dispaly and the ROM. We shopped around the downtown and I waited on baited breath for the call that never came through. I was wondering why my phone kept beeping. And the flashing triangle is never a good thing.
So I missed meeting
blithwulf, which really sucks 'cause I've been reading his journal for a long time. Even though I don't know him too well.
Anyhoot, Steve (
braxton) makes a last minute chance call before he heads out and I get it as I'd probably left the uber-downtown cell for Toronto. I felt really bad that I said I'd be in town and not show up anywhere at all. So I ran my little butt off in the rain from Hair of Dog at church (leaving Brendan and Martin there alone) to the Bay St. Terminal in under 15mins. My legs still hurt, I'm built for comfort not for speed. I got to meet up with Steve and of course dashing duo that is Iain (
mathan) and Scott (
scottybear) however briefly. Iain hooked me up with some geek goods to turn over tonight. Thank you!!
All and all my attempts to at being a social butterfly were gased and framed today. Although I did make some purchases that made me happy such as the Kylie "Cant Get You Outta My Head" vinyl single with three remixes and the Lenny Kravitz "Black Velvetine" remix singles. Now I have to work on getting two good decks and a mixer so I can "drop dope tracks and mack on the hunnies".
Yes.
Oh, also saw a gaggle of girls at the HMV on Yonge screaming and stampeding to see Ja Rule. It was absolutely hilarious and utterly absurd.
Now I'm absolutely wasted and tired.
