Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

this of course is true.

However, believing you're in love and
actually being in love...well that's the heart of the matter idn'
it?

Some of us, on the other hand, recognize love as a very dangerous and undesireable state. Unfortunatly, everyone falls in love, and the stuborn fall... boy do they.

I think few things called love meet the definition you have listed. Certianly this kind of love is not the kind of love people become easily addicted to.

I don't know about biblical quotes... I could throw some at you that would drastically diminish the validity of that particular statement.

In a perfect world, perhaps that would be the definition of love. We, as humans, are, unfortunately, far from perfect... Cats on the other hand...

I wonder if my reputation of being violent and stubborn has caught up with me even on Brodie's Livejournal? Why are you so afraid of me? I'm a 5'4 girl! =(

*laughs*

Then we're the same hieght. Hey...

*little kid voice*

I could take you! ...Right now! Outside! By the bike racks, underneath the big tree! (But can you bring some HandiSnacks™?)

I was just a little concerned about sparking the "Dogs vs. Cats" debate, that's all. :-, You're Jenni, from camp (IMC) aren't you? Hi. I'm Marianne. *offers a handshake* Nice to meet you.

-Me.

(P.S> Dogs are much better.)

Ah, right. Yeah, I know who you are. You live down the street from my old viola teacher...

I am not used to NOT being the only girl reader/comment-er on Broble's blogs is all... Cats are way better than dogs, if you really want to go there...

Also, i can take you EASY. haha

BrodieBear - what's the word?

Jenni vs. Me - where would your bets lie? *raises eyebrows mischeviously*

(*grins* Don't worry, my bets would sit on her side too. I'm a self proclaimed suckybaby; I'm such a wus!)

Okay, so even if you'd win the schoolyard squabble, my argument holds it's own merits. To add to that - I'm also the Queen of the World, and I'm always right.

hehehe...

I'm afraid you've mistaken yourself for me.
Common enough error. Everyone wishes they were me.

I'm going to have to side with you on this one.

Cats are far better than dogs.

I don't get this! Dogs are so much better than cats - I mean, what kind of Stockwell Day would even consider otherwise?

Eek! I'm too sleepy to argue tonight!

I officially propose that someone should create a poll!

Do we as humans inherently know how to love? Are many of us so jaded in the modern / western / objectified consumer lifestyle that we are not able to recognise or express it?

I feel like I'm writing covernotes for a Coupland novel.

Pondering,
-Gamina.

...and I thought that quote was from the hidden track at the end of the Lauryn Hill album.

I don't know from god, I guess...
