I'm considering a kinda low-fidelity functional look. There's a lot of util-chic now, I don't think many people need that many pockets. Just jeans and t-shirts really. And some new frames, I was totally about the horn-rims when they were edgy. Now they're totally not. I was thinking about some shirts from Threadless and Derush.
I don't think it's worth the effort to deny that clothes are highly integrated into my ego. I'm even considering buying some gap clothing as they have "more sizes online". That is to say, they have fat-guy sizes. I need a 42" waist at least usually.
This is basically incentive to get a job. Which is a centra focus of mine starting this week. The resumé's are fresh off the printer and the facial hair is trimmed.
Wow, those Threadless t-shirts are pretty nice. The Derush site appears to be down, though.
And yeah, a lot of people use clothes as a tool to help define themselves. Like, I know I work more efficiently when I'm wearing a nice business shirt. Shallow maybe, but not much use in denying it.
See, I used to think that clothing was a shallow thing. At least, I've flirted with that idea fairly often. But just like you said it's a tool for self-definition and can inspire confidence. That helps you function as a person, and I don't think I'm gonna knock it anymore.
Of course becoming obsessed with fashion is another thing all together.
Any ideas as to what you wanna try next? I'm going to go with something generic I think, let it grow out another few weeks and then trimm it up. I want some length on the top again. Basically I think I want to re-create the look I have in the photo here in my yahoo profile.
yeah, your hair is good like that... i likes. i'm not sure what i will do... lots of blond... bright red...(like electric red). maybe both. maybe bangs. I like to go spur-of the moment. we'll have to wait it out.
I have been needing new classes for 3 years running. Perhaps this year I will get a new one for real. :-) Mines nearly 6 years old now. I think I will keep this old one and convert it into prescription sunglasses, when I get the new frames. You could do that with your old glasses.
Hi. Nice profile there bud, as well as picture. Thought I would say hello and broaden the people I know on here. Send a hello back when you get the chance. HUGS!
