Hmm.. well, much to do. I have to find me a teeeeny tiiiiiny hex key to clean out the super-cool Apple Pro Keyboard Ted ([livejournal.com profile] notofthisworld) gave to me. You have to take care of something that pretty. Sometimes I just like to sit there with the keyboard in my arms talking, laughing and remembering our times in the hills while sipping daquiris. They tried to perscute us for our love, that's why we fled. A love so pure and unique, that which can only be had between man and keyboard.

I love you model M7803, I'll love you forever.

If you find that tiny hex key, let me know where you got it. I need it to clean out my keyboard.

I'm sure M7803 would prefer a can of compressed air than a hex-key.

Compressed air eh? Like, remove some keys and blow the air under them or something?

Is there gunk/junk under the keys preventing them from moving up and down? I had a client who was going to throw out one of the old Apple Extended Keyboards because the keys were stuck.. turned out she had managed to fit about fifteen paperclips under the keys..

Naw, it still works just fine. It's just kinda filled with particular grossness (hair and skin flakes and stuff) underneath. It's totally cosmetic.

A big can of compressed air should take care of it - unless of course there's gunk on the keys that's sticky and won't come off. You might want to get a big can of compressed air, it does run out rather quickly. Works wonders for blowing dust bunnies to hell.

Which Mac do you have?

Thanks! I'll try the compressed air method!

It's blasphemy, it's actually on a PC using Win XP. I'm a closet mac lover. I bought this PC before I came out to myself about my love of macs. Now with OS X and the new iMac I know it was always meant to be. It's part of who I am.

My next computer'll likely be an iBook.

Because of you and [livejournal.com profile] dizzibear, I just spent some quality time with my keyboard as well. Removed the keys, cleaned them and used my vacuum cleaner with brush attachment to suck up all gunkiness.

Nothing like a clean keyboard to make your fingers happy.
