Sup? This is 'sup:
Apr. 5th, 2002 02:36 pmOk, so the HPO tickets fell through due to a technicality. I won't go into details BUT I will say that next time I will make no assumptions as to my intentions being known. Grr.
I have important news. At the end of June I will be moving. Not far at all, just over about three blocks West and one block South. The new place is smaller, a town house but it will just be housing Mom and I. Actually, my new room will be larger then my present one. To those who know the area I'll be un Upper Gage just two blocks up from Limridge Mall.
Yes, I will be near the mall for all my assembly-line consumer needs. I might actually be interested in that mall if it weren't for the 30% tariff on good records in the suburbs. Oh, and nothin at Old Nancey really fits me. Additionally the chapters across the way from the mall is closed now. Which doesn't sting too much as Heather Reisman is an evil book nazi. I have a new system of using Amazon.com for information then ordering said book from a local book seller like Brian Prince or Chapman's. I just call 'em with the ISSN and bingo they get the book to me. Also their staff is really knowledgeable and will make all sorts of suggests as to save me money while still plugging further reading. Which I'm totally cool with.
Try getting that outta a Chapters or Indigo zombie. "Uh, there's a new Tom Clancy book. You look like a Tom Clancy guy. *ayuck*"
But don't get me started on mega bookstores. In short; they benefit only large urban centres and destroy small businesses and independant publishers. They aren't all bad, just not all good.
Yeah, so I'm moving. Right! It'll be at the end of June. I look forward to it. Mostly 'cause I get to paint the place before we move in! I love painting.
Oh and I got my hair cut last night, it looks way better. Just a clean-up job from the buzz cuts I'd done before.
That is all!
