Weekend of note
Apr. 15th, 2002 03:49 pmDo I really have to write an event-by-event transcript of my weekend? It was nothing spectacular, in the sense of dancing elephants and alien invasions. It was great to see everyone.
The eagle's new interior (so far) is pretty rad. I think it looks kinda like a U-boat inside. The red engine room lamps and all. I didn't have the pleasure of using the presently divider-less urinals everyone is raving about, shucks darn. Being Toronto they coulda turned it into a bar from a Bacardi™ commercial. *spins bottles of rum* This town has seen enough frosted glass back-lit with colourful fluorescent lighting thank-you-very-much. The smokey back room area is really.. smokey. Which was really nice in a way, to be disgusted yet indifferent to the smoke. Six weeks, working on the seventh now. I can't be really judgemental of smokers, I know what it's like. And there's that erotic cultural thing about cigars and mature men. *adjusts*
Oh, and I got to do my leering pervert thing Sunday morning with Ray at the loft Starbuck's on Church. Although try explaining the concept behind The Social Life of Information while trying to cruise hot guys heading to the hot-ash party at the eagle down the street. That's hard, those parts of my brain are sorta exclusive.
Dave's piano rehearsal for his recital was really cool too, he's making lots of progress. The man can sing and perform, that's really important in singing I'd imagine.
I guess that's everything of note.
