I like that combination. The ocean is wild, so is the flower. The flower is cut and displayed as is the aquarium to the ocean. Micheal Stipe still writes exceptionally well.

One of my favorite Stipe lyrics is elsewhere on that CD: "I save your messages just to hear your voice." As depictions of love go, it's syrupy, mawkish, and dead-on accurate.

Unfortunately, Michael Stipe really annoys me, which is frustrating because some of my favourite songs are REM songs. (I totally love Orange Crush, The One I love, Drive, Star Me Kitten, and Crush with Eyeliner. But then again, who doesn't?)
