The smartest new interface I've seen in a long time.

Here's a BBC Article on Fastap. I'd buy a phone with it just looking at it. Hopefully they don't want extortionate licensing fees or something 'cause I could really see a Nokia 8390 with this.

LOL...it's so funny to see that.

Last year at the CHI (http://www.acm.org/sigchi/) conference, I was approached to give an evaulation of this interface. Tthe prototype was pretty fun to play with, except that the interface itself, integrated into a phone, had a high level of learnability, but a very low level of affordance (http://www.jnd.org/dn.mss/affordances-and-design.html).

I'm surprised it made it to the market so quickly. Neat to see.
