Yeah, I have (and not posted to LJ about it thank you!) and it's taught me tons about real relationships. You have to ease into anything long term and do a lot of negotiation. You have to be able to admit that sometimes things aren't meant to be.

Otherwise you become the serial monogamist clasping at men all over the world like oh so many blades of grass ripped out of the ground.. sometimes it's good to grow next to somebody. To further the metaphor.

The difference between you and the person I imagine you're referring to is that you learn from your mistakes. I've seen it happen.

My advice: Ignore him. People like him end up alone and miserable anyway.

An aside: It was confirmed for me completely that he was an idiot the minute he came onto me in a drunken stupor and acted all miserable when I said "thanks, but no thanks."
