Not much I can say about The New Deal show, is there? Here's some notes I made on my palm.

(yeah, I made notes during their set. I have mad Graffiti™ skillz, 'prezent yaw)

  • "Spinja Girl" gettin' her dance on for the opening DJ. Her moves were totally hyped out
  • The DJ was playing a really good Trance/Jazz House set until he threw down something that sounded like beat-up Huey Lewis and the News. People totally responded well to it. I think it's about time that big band/rock sound came back (to the future?).
  • The Wabi visuals were totally neat. All mixed live with some neat "car moving through city" and "carnival" real world footage. Also stuff from old Vectrex games:
    • Defender
    • Tempest
    • Space War
    • "Spikey"
  • The drummer did some beat boxing on the mic while still doing cymbal and kicks. Nice work!
  • The parachute was there hanging from the ceiling as usual. Very cool.
  • Show in Muskoka in August
What a great show. Next time I hope Greg ([livejournal.com profile] plaidninja) isn't out of town, he woulda loved it. And that boy know to dy-ance! Bought a cool tND shirt but I lost my flyer I wanted to put on my bulletin board. I can probably pick one up at The Pit Record on the way back home.

I was so high on endorphines and adrenaline. It was great! I'm waiting for the pictures and bootlegs to show-up on the net, the place was packed!
