A productive day:
  • Took pants with seized zipper to tailors
  • Donated all old clothes to breast cancer research (they get a rate per lb of clothes)
  • Cashed in all my change, decided moving it would be heavy. $93!
  • Made raddichio, red Boston lettuce, romaine, radish and dill salad as well as fruit salad for HECE end-of-year party. ATTN: [livejournal.com profile] etherlad, the String Tribute to Sarah McLachlan was a hit with the chamber orchestra, go figure. Thanks! Gave a copy to Celina.
  • Went to kegger at Renzo's. Ended up tuning his computer and drinking all of 3 beers for my $10 cover.
  • Walked home from Downtown. Would have been nice if Chris the poseur punk boy wasn't talking about getting into fights. I often think of him as a caricature worthy of Kids in the Hall interpretation. He is the guy with the Mohawk who talks about being an anarchist whilst living in his parents basement.
  • Got to see the city on a hazy first night of summer from my favorite spot atop the escapement on W5th just down from old psychiatric hospital.
My bed sounds very appealing right now.

OMG! I know exactly the view you're talking about! when I first moved out of my parents house I lived with a friend in Claremont ave - used to wander all over down there.

mmm, riding my bike through the grounds of the hospital at 3 AM, the world empty of people, the air hot and wet and full of the smell of mockorange and roses.

That was exactly how walking home last night was. Except for Chris, but I can tune him out fairly effectly as he's rather predictable.

If you're not smiling like us, you're smiling with the terrorists.
