Well, things are shaping up. It's the long weekend.. I may be broke but dammit I'm gonna have fun.

September looks to be shaping up into a very exciting month. Other than being back at school there's also a lot of really good shows happening right here in Hamilton. Two consecutive Saturdays at Home (it's a bar, bit of a dive really) Bullfrog (14th) and The New Deal (21st) play!!

I missed The New Deal last time they played Hamilton although caught the rock-out second show in Toronto with Marz and Lindsey. Convienently it's also Brendan's birthday on the 21st and he's dying to see a Deal show since he was working last time we went.

I've been meaning to get a hold of you about that. Of course thanks are in order, it's a great album! And I love the cover. Been listening to it quite a bit when coding actually.

I'm glad you like it. I was worried you might not like it because it's nothing like Fever. But it's deceptively good.

The thing to realise about it is that it's quite a melancholy album, despite it's rock/dance veneer. Reading the lyrics (all of which Kylie wrote herself) will reveal that. In that respect, it's probably more like Matthew Good Band's Beautiful Midnight than Fever.

And I thought you'd like the cover. :-)
