I went to a place in Virginia (my home state) called Burkes Garden, VA. Burkes Garden is a tiny place that there's only one road in or out. Said road goes up the side of one mountain and down the other in many more switchbacks then I care to remember. When you've gotten into the valley, and go to the center, which is where the Burkes Garden General Store is, in any direction you look, there are mountaintops. It almost looks like you're in the center of an ancient and huge volcanic crater that's filled in flat.
Anyhow, the reason I've told you all of this, is that when I went there, I stood in the parking lot of the Burkes Garden General Store, and took photographs for approximately 180 degrees vantage point. when you place the photos together, and line up the images, you get a jagged, yet panaoramic view of the mountaintops.
