Nice, just found booties of The New Deal show @ Home Bar in Hamilton I saw. Damn that was a good night. I can hear myself screaming on the recording too! Just gotta finish the 2nd CD.. only 600mb!!
E-Tree rocks the house. I used to be real active there back when I was big into the live show tading scene. There's a Phish show from Atlanta that I transferred from DAT out there somewhere.
I just love the whole concept, from the bands that allow the taping to the community of folks who put their time and energy into helping make that music available - for no financial gain. It's one of the best non-commercial, community based uses of the Internet that I've seen actually work.
just outta curiosity, have you ever tried Furthur (www.furthurnet.com, i believe)? it's a P2P program made especially for boot traders, so you can only search for taping-friendly artists....cool thing is, you can search for just SHNs...and they've got two different protocols: one (PCP) lets you download from other users *while* they're downloading the same show (to help speed up the process), the other (Antelope) lets you download from multiple users...good stuff, it is....
anybody interested in Smashing Pumpkins, The Marked, Blind Melon, Björk, fulflej, Matmos, or depeche mode boots? ;)
and if you've got Sigur Rós, múm, or matmos, shoot me an email, ya bastard!
