I've only ever flipped through a couple issues of LoEG, but that is not exactly how I would have pictured what a film based on that comic would look like.
I read the first set obsessively, and I'm really into the new series... and I'm real worried about this movie. Maybe it's the "LXG" crap they're throwing at the end...
i need to kill whomever is responsible for this movie... and if Alan Moore put his name to this garbage i'll just die.. they had to have drugged him and put him the basement or something...
Mina Harker dissolving into bats??? Sean Connery as Alan Quartermain??? Matrix back-flip kicks???? Cars????? Captian Nemo doing spin kicks????!!!?? um.. no... this is one of the best comics i have read in a looong time.. and they are gonna fuck it up..
Being a fan of both the comic and of Alan moore.. I felt displeased with the trailer. So far, it seems like it's just going to be taking alot of cues from movies that have been released in the apst 2 years (wire-fu, dark overtones in the settings, horrible jokes...ugh). But, it's Sean Connery... yeah, Sean Connery..
