Elevator Music Record"After several 12inche releases on Compost Records, plenty of great remix works and the DJ-Kicks (K7 Records) compilation the Trüby Trio presents their debut album "Elevator Music" on Compost Records. On board are guest appearances by Joseph Malik, Marcus Begg, Wunmi, Concha Buika amongst many others."

Elevator Music Wine: "In connection with the release of the Trüby Trio debut album "Elevator Music", we produced a highly limited contingent of a special Trüby Trio wine edition. This white dry wine is called Achkarrer Castellberg "Grauer Burgunder", vintage 2002, from the vineyard "Probst" in Baden / Kaiserstuhl, Germany.

Our wine expert Rainer Trüby personally made the selection, so satisfaction is guaranteed.

That's a wine for you!

I'm not sure I remember either.... Oh yeah... you said you were enjoying it... I was wondering if you meant the wine too.

And in terms of special edition packaging, it would be so cool if the CD was in the bottle of wine. Collectors would pay big bucks for that!

Naw, I'm not cool enough to have the vino. The CD in the wine bottle would be sorta silly if you ask me. But then again I don't collect much.

i imagine all the little buggers and fermento-juices in the wine would do a number on that thin layer of aluminium...

Wow, a dry white wine from Germany. I've only ever had sweet whites from them, since the colder weather makes for sweeter grapes. How interesting...

Yeah, in my short and budget constrained wine tasting career I've had a few german rieslings which were of course very sweet.

As a certified Wine Snob™, I assure you that the colder weather in fact makes for grapes with lower sugar levels: cooler weather = less energy to produce the sugars in the grapes. The reason most German wine seems to be sweet is because the German wine industry chaptalizes [= adds sugar] the hell out of most of their wine, which would otherwise be thin, watery, and acidic [save for the really, really good stuff, which is fairly hard to come by outside of Germany].

If'n you want a good dry white wine from Germany, keep an eye open for the Lingenfelder "bird label" Riesling. I've seen it in Vancouver and Seattle. Expect to pay about US$10.

ObOverTheTopWineSnobbery: This wine, which is a Grauburgunder, is called pinot gris by the French. This is of course Very Trendy at the moment, especially if it's Italian and therefore pinot grigio. Prost!

this is a very upscale take on the moosik/edible combo...the only other i know is matmos' limited edition CD/stick of butter that they gave out at some art show in SF (i think)

Hmm I'm usually up on the Compost stuff but I haven't picked up the Truby disc yet. I'm guessing I should? ;-)
