  1. Passing a woman and her kids waiting in the parking lot today she askes them "Who's that?" while pointing at me. Obviously she was trying to keep them occupied while waiting for something. In unison they say "DADDY!" and get very excited by the prospect that I could possibly be their father. This amused me.
  2. The guy at the gym who tried to strike up conversation needs to find another venue. See that display on my machine? Yes, that reads 26mins and it's counting UP. One might intrepret that as a subtle hint that I'M BUSY. Sorry.
  3. I found some old cassettes including "Start Programming with Gortek and the Microchips" for my Commodore 64 and "Star Wars: Planet of the Hoojibs". Hello sampling city, population: me... right after a quick game of FLOG
  4. For all you kids lapping up hyper-optimistic sounds of The Postal Service I really have to suggest "Heart" by Stars off Paper Bag Records of Broken Social Scene fame. It's fantastic unpopular pop for alternative sappiness. I'm looking at you [livejournal.com profile] telecommunicate and [livejournal.com profile] teljanin specifically.

I'm shocked: "Daddy" and "excited" in the same sentence?!

Well, you are 18 years older than me.. but what the heck? It's all about preceived eroticism.

These cats were on Le Grand Magistery before, right? I have an EP where they do a pretty passable cover of the Smiths' "This Charming Man."

I saw them open for Momus once and really really hated the lead singer. He was being a bitch to the other band members. At one point he made them start over because he said they were fucking up the song. Maybe they sound better on CD. They didn't impress me live.

Wow, I thought that I was the only one with "Gortek" for the C64. I feel slightly better now ^_^
