My show went well for the first half.

And then Absynth crashed and some samples were coming up red.

But I made it out OK and I've definitely learned lots.

The door made $105 that went three ways between the artists. I really had no idea it was a paying gig! Cinoevil was the drummer from Microbunny which I wasn't aware of and Bleep was lots like Frou Frou which was quite impressive.

What was most impressive was how many of my friends went out of their way to see me play. It was really heart warming to get that sort of support. It probably won't happen next time but hey I ain't lookin' a gift horse in the mouth.

Now I focus on leaving Canada.

For the U.K.?

'cuz surely you couldn't mean America. The only people who want to move here are illiterate immigrants with stars in their eyes.

The US does have it's appeal. Mostly it's the huge amounts of money that fly around.

You may also want to note that there are lots of literate immigrants with stars in their eyes too.

Yeah, literate in JEW or Negro or Communist! (/midwesterner)

And besides, as for the huge amounts of money flying around? They're only flying upward. We're in one hell of a recession here, dude. And even phone-monkey jobs like mine are scarce.

If i could've made it out to the show buddy, trust me, i woulda been right in front. Sounds like you had a blast regardless.

Speaking of Scotland, i've been meaning to go for years now, it was supposed to be a joint effort by me and i few friends as a sort of "We Graduated! Huzzah!" sort of trip.... then summer came and everyone flaked. Anyway, if i make it out there while yer livin' there we should definetly get together.

And don't worry, i haven't forgotten about yer ridiculously belated day of birth present.

Viva teh rockstar!

Okay one thing you've neglected to tell YOUR BEST FRIEND was when this was going to be happening. I was aware of it, but still never knew of the time frame. Please tell me its not too soon. I have no access to a car and have been working since 5am till 5pm. Id be damned to hell if i didnt see you before you left!

My best friend should answer his phone or return messages more often. Then he'd know what was going on.

We'll chat sometime.

So, have you figured out when you're leaving yet. Will I be able to meet you next Thursday evening when I'm in town?

From: [identity profile] nfotxn.livejournal.com
Yes, chances are I will definitely be in town!

wow. even thought we have never met, part of me is sad that you are moving to Scotland. I am sure you will have a great time while you are there. (shagging a Scotman! woo hoo!)
If you get the chance while you are there, make sure you visit two places. Stirling Castle and Oban. Stirling has William Wallace's sword on display. You will understand why people in the U.K. snicker when you mention Mel Gibson as Braveheart. Oban is a great seaside port and has several things to see in town. There is an observatory and a mini-replica of The Coloseum in Rome. Plus, if you have seen Little Voice, you will recognized the town.
And now, back to more coffee.

If you party, learn and had fun in your show, that's great, keep focusing on your music. If you continue this LJ from Scotland will be cool too.
