I think the restoration of Notre Dame is a forever on going process. I was there in the summer of 98 and they were restoring it They were working on one of the front towers at that point. I don't think they'll ever be done!

As for those gawkers, unless I'm mistaken, it's a reproduction they're gawking at! I heard the Louvre keeps the real thing out of the public eye cause it'll disintegrate.

Brodie - you are such an artist... they look like pics from National Geography or Life magazine...

My two favorites are the "Lady in the Metro Station" - the colors of the wall against her white shirt (the caption cracked me up too)...
