Parents Sue School Over Wi-Fi

There is nothing more maddening than self-righteous reactionary parents. These are probably the same people who send their kids to school with a mobile phone for "security" unaware that the techologies are similar. Or keep their kids indoors in the summer because of the sun's harmful UV rays and then dope them up on chewable prozac when they get derpessed.

Furthermore this seems to be so far removed from educating kids that it's nearly laughable.

I understand the radio waves are especially dangerous in combination with fluoridated water.

Only in the Chicago area...

Are these parents going to keep their kids from going into Border's Books or Starbucks because they have the same kind of Wi-Fi networks available there? Someone has way too much time on their hands...

Honey --

I live in Roselle -- they are thinking about the same thing here. My daughter graduated 2 years ago but I still get the PTO stuff.

These are kids who have $300+ on debit cards to spend every month... They aren't gonna skip Starbucks, Borders or any other place that might have Wi-Fi access...

Parents are such attention whores....

Oy, I hate that too. Parents that read one or two very "yellow" articles that are designed to freak people about, and then they take it as god's (cough cough) truth.

Or like the teenagers that I see waiting for the school bus in the morning. Generally, there are five or six next to the street, standing and chatting... and three or four sitting in their parent's cars, looking very sullen, with Mummy or Daddy behind the wheel... watching out that they don't get snatched from the school bus stop, no doubt.
