Partying is Inverness is hard. That's because it's pretty much everyone's hobby. No really, there is shit all else to do in the winter unless you're rich and can go somewhere else.

So we drink. And drink we do.

This is vodka and redbull. Kinda like having your brain wrapped around a brick and thrown across a room. Without the slice of lime
Like most other remote but densely populated places there is highly developed cultures surrounding drink. As you can well imagine in our era of genetically modified foods and ubiquitous chemical enhancement the result of said cultural development is a particularly vile substance. It's called Vokda and Red Bull with Aftershot. Sorta like free-basing with alcohol and caffeine. And it is very bad for you.

The taste is that of a cheap sugary soda mixed, well, vodka. In there is about 300mg of Caffeine. Ever wanted to feel anxious AND drunk? Well here's your chance. Frankly I like to keep my stimulants and depressants seperate. But that's just me.

A random scene of debauchery.
On the plus side is that after a night of V&RB one has the overwhelming urge to stay at home, knit socks and watch the Tele while stewing in remorse. Perhaps explaining what the rest of British society is doing on a Friday or Saturday (or Wednesday) night.

And yet in some sort of sick Fight Club way partying here is really some of the best I've done in ages. And despite hardly knowing anyone, which was easily remedied with a few drinks, there's something about wholesome it here. The legal but intense substance abuse, unfiltered cigarettes and how much generations seem to mingle together in pubs and clubs. In Inverness you will awaken the next afternoon more coated in smoke, hung over and generally fucked up than you can possibly ever hope to image in Canada.

A great place to visit.

Another fun one is Red Bull and a shot of Jaegermeister. Mm... It's the only way I like Jaeger. :-)

A great place to visit.

But not to live?

Red Bull is the devil. DEVIL. RED BULL DEVIL. Hssssssss.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to live here much longer. My liver would kill me. And my psoriasis from the lack of sunlight. And so forth and so on.

I like the taste of red bull.

Now, Aftershock is the devil. :-)

Come to think of it I haven't really had very much Red Bull on it's own. I am adverse to trendy drinks in 250ml cans that claim to effect my body in "beneficial" ways.

I think you're adult enough (pup that you are!) to be able to deal with the drink aside from it's marketing hype. You'll drink it because you like it or it's effects and not because someone at a Manhattan advertising firm thinks you should because of advertising.

Aww shucks, thanks. Yeah, my Caffeine habbit mostly comes in coffee format. Drinking it hot prevents me from getting all doped up lickity split.

And trendy coffee shop cups make excellent disposeable fashion accessories.

Red Bull has the caffeine, like many other drinks, but it also has the taurine. Using stimulants as mixers even allows you to drink even more alcohol. It is more potent in thailand, I am told, where it is a tonic I think and not a trendy adult beverage. Iams Cat Food contains no taurine, by the way, according to the bag.

I wish I was too! I had that dream where you wake up back home last night. It was shitty.

Oh God, another drunken Anglo-Saxon tears up the town and rampages through the streets (no doubt knife-wielding as well)screaming at the top of his lungs.
Lucky bastard, I wish I were you.

Then again you haven't gone drinking in yellowknife have ya? Well nor have I, but I immagine some pretty hardcore drinking/partying goes on there to combat the cold and darkness.

Oh and happy belated birthday
