The new Buck 65 record "Talkin' Honky Blues" seems great upon first listen. It's the most diverse record he's done yet aesthetically. Lyrically "Talkin' Honky Blues" often speaks about living a simpler life through Bucks staple of lyrical characters. This time it's baseball players and show repairmen. The imagery is really sweet and kind. He's the only hip-hop artist who I've seen take people from a party track to tear jerking ballad. Saw him with
plaidninja here in Hamilton one night, I had a great time.
