Well, I must admit: fact is I like my music kinda queer. In fact even other gays think my music is "kinda gay". I like a steady diet of off-beat hi-hats, modulating arpeggiators, syncopated cowbells and 4/4 bass drum kicks that hit you right in the junk and activate your dance unit.

I encourage everyone to download and dance to this mix like nobody is watching. Rip off your shirt. shake your ass and pour a bottle of water over your head in the privacy of your home. You are a 21st century man or woman sequenced for lovin' with geometric precision! Are those headphones? No, that won't do at all. Turn up the bass and clear a space, girl. It's time to get the hell down.

It's a big download at nearly 90mb and in a zip file to prevent robots from eating my bandwidth. Not to bad for those you on broadband but might be a challenge on dialup. The ID3 info is intact for easy library management and burning.

If you have any issues listening feel free to ask in the comments. Also if you'd like to know where the records are from and how you can buy them I'd be please to oblige you.

Most of your music isn't all that gay.
But this is very gay. (Although adding "Boyz" to the playlist kind of stacks the deck.)

omg

I actually know atomizer. Both of them. Lovely guys. Well Jonny Slut is a bit insane and pissed all over me the other night in the toilets at Duckie but Fil OK is lovely and has never pissed all over me at all. I ate all the bread at his flat once though.

Am I uber-gay?!

*Really* gay music is full of sampled diva-wannabe vocals and never slows down below 130 bpm. This music is merely *mostly* gay. It's still perty good though, thanks! :)

"for HIS pleasure" indeed.

I've heard the Perspects track in a couple of DJ Hell sets/comps... glad to finally hear it on its own. Dude kind of sings like Andy Bell from Erasure, but with gonads still intact.

Is much of this available on CD or mostly vinyl-only?

Good tunez!

you need to get that shit mixed :) I would do it, but my comp with final scratch is down right now, so I can only mix vinyl right now, not mp3's. :(

But again... good songs! yay!

I think FS is so silly. Just use Traktor 2.5 and jack it into your mixer. Way less hassel and just as good that way.

watch whatchya say...
there's something vibrant about the tactility and juggling of spinning disks that just doesn't come from knob twiddling.

agreed.

Even as DJing and such and such becomes more digital based, there's definately something about being behind the decks that computer based mixing programs will never simulate.

Yeah, but I didn't say that. I said FS is silly. The Traktor: FS edition software stinks.

yah, but since I mix with TT's FS allows me to have a much bigger variety of tunes. I can only afford like 40 bucks a month on vinyl right now.

Additionally, the waveform features have allowed me to work on my phrasing and stuff like that, which has helped out tremendously when using songs on regular vinyl. I'm more concerned with developing turntable skills than having perfect mixes right now, such that when I can afford to spend more money on Vinyl I'll be ready to go.

But yah, if good mixes is all that matters, Traktor 2.5 is a good way to go. I have a goal of playing out sometime in the next couple years, and people look at you funny if you aren't using TT's or cds to mix.

I've played a few gigs with just with traktor/live/fl, notebook and a mixer. It depends entirely on the crowd you're playing for. A bunch of hipster club drones will think it's nutty but your mix will speak for itself. I don't care about having a DJ image because that doesn't attract the kinda people I want to play for.

But then again I'm not always interested in just playing records. With Live I can do a mashup on the fly and go in all sorts of directions you just can't with decks.

Good stuff, thanks for putting it out there.

I got away with listening to it at work until 'Freak' played. My iChat status changed and I got a bunch of IMs from people, "Why are you listening to LFO?". (shrug)

I get so much grief from my iChat status.

Oh, I imagine.

At the same time I think they just wanted to give me trouble in general. I am sure they knew I was just being a big ol slacker in my office.
