So I am majorly bummed. Bad news last night that Mark. T. Cat will indeed be returning home with Bess and Rob after their vacation in Italy.

I guess having a cat around has just made it so apparent to me how much I missed it. I've never thought of myself as a cat guy. But in that regard the last six months has been an exceptional time in life.

Me, a cat guy? Never thought of it that way. Cheapest boyfriend you can get too and always wants to cuddle, I supposed. Mind your dirty thoughts, thanks. I'll just have to get one of my own. Hopefully he will be as awesomely cute and easy to live with as Mark.

School continues to drag on and nag at me like an ear infection that won't get away. I'm about 1/10th done my first course so far which is leaving me really unimpressed with my accomplishment. To be as easily distracted as I am is truly a curse, let me tell you. But it's moving at all which is what matters. I think that somehow being busier would improve matters. However finding a job that I want to do is nearly impossible. Or at least I am nearly impossible when it comes to choosing a job that I want to do.

Today's song is Inherent Song by Lullaby For The Working Class. Oh what music to have missed out on when they were still touring. This song is light on the string arrangement but has a nice sort of disgruntled plodding to it that I just love. I have to thank [livejournal.com profile] xbearxrr for exposing me to them in his last Dramabear compilation. Loverly stuff.

I am a cat person. They generally have this attitude about them that I love. They are snobby, yet will demand love and attention from you. Also, everything has to be on their terms. Wait. I think I want to be a cat...

Also, that Dramabear compilation was really good.

I guess we're both dramabears. Let's start some drama.

I guess I'm the only one who can join you two in drama marriage...

Dramabear's final compilation is scheduled for release in late May/early June.

I'm with you on the cat thing. Currently trying to decide whether to get mine now or wait. I want two grey tabby kittens, that way hopefully they can entertain each other when I'm not around.

Now who would ever do such a thing?

I ask you.

He is such a handsome boy. :)

I love our dog, but I do miss the evenings in New England when it was just me and my cat curled up on the sofa watching TV or reading a book.

Go get a kitty ! They are awesome, and they need us as much as I need them. I've always had cats at home, since I was a child. My actual Cat "Grujot" is so freakin' cool that we even had conversations (...well, I talk and he meows back all the time) and now even my BF and my rommates talk to him. Go get a kitty ! Go get a kitty !

Get an animal. They're the best to have around. I'm a dog person myself but if your fancy is cats I say go for it.

About the job-thing, you've probably heard this before but try picking a job that you might have some personal interest in doing -- or if there isn't one out there, create one. Consulting can be a great occupation. Perhaps something with music might be fun. Just a thought.

Who wouldn't miss such an adorable mug as that?

I know, for my part, I'd go nuts without my cats.

Gawd, you just made me flash right back to school days. Some people are simply not made for it. Like me. Not to rub it in, but I thank the heavens I don't have any more stupid essay deadlines. I don't know how you feel about this course, but I don't think it's unusual to be easily distracted when it comes to stuff one couldn't care less about.
