The trauma is always the same because, frankly, I get laid more often when my face is hairy. Granted it sucks when people are into your style and not you. But alas Coporate Canada is not so big on hiring people with hairy faces. They're not trustworthy you know? Prone to crime I'v heard. And additionally when it gets hot my poor face its mighty itchy and dry and just downright nasty. Seriously, both look really great.

I've been turned down jobs because of my beard. I figure I'd rather spend 40 hours a week with people that didn't give a shit about facial hair... I'm stubborn about that, and it's a sacrifice for sure.

-I'd hire you! Screw the paper credentials, someone will pick up on you without having to look at that too seriously. That, or someone or something you've already established will come looking for you when they know you're available. And some of my best jobs really did "call me back" months after I fumbled an interview, when another position opened.

Next, you just have to post images of yourself in resume' mode. But maybe you don't want to subject yourself to further becoming fantasy fodder for the interweb...

shaving sucks. it's tedious and i hate it. imagine having a barber do it for you. something i've never had done, but have thought about since shaving became a chore. the beards i grow are usually for the sole purpose of avoiding the chore (lazy? yes.). when i do shave, i always keep at least a small goatee because i feel naked if my face is completely bald. i think your goatee looks good, but if you're attached to beards, grow it back. shaving your beard is like dying your hair, it takes a few days to get used to.

Both looks great. But, my personal opinion (if indeed you're really asking for it?) would have to be the VanDyke. It so suits you.

I understand about shaving down and the after effects of "hair withdrawl" I'm now to a stache and it works out well for my skin. I'm not breaking out any more and it also gives your face a chance to recoop.

The great thing about hair is that it's almost garunteed to come back. Just change up your look when it suits you. Good tip for the summertime!

I'm going to be an unsupportive curmudgeon and say I much prefer before. I think your moustache needs a couple more years before it's ready to carry on unsupported by them big fuzzy cheeks.

I'm not a big fan of the current trend in retro-chunky eyewear either. (Though it's well established that I'm tragically unhip.)

Not that my opinion changes your odds of getting laid.

Still, eating and financial independence is a good thing. All will be better later.
