Comparing Heights, Amongst Other Things
Nov. 18th, 2004 04:57 amI think I've pointed this out in the past but this is something LJer's always seem to mention when I meet them in person. Everyone seems to think that I am shorter than I am. And really height isn't a particular point of self-consciousness for me. But I am indeed 6'2" tall or a bit more depending on the height of the heel I am wearing.
Cue memories of your elementary school teachers walking down the marble floors. Click clack, click clack click clack.
kj is if course really fucking tall. And just as friendly as he can be.

Date: 2004-11-18 07:59 am (UTC)While I don't remember it specifically, I tend to, uh, pick up a lot of people. *heh* Not as much now as I used to, mind you.

Date: 2004-11-18 10:32 am (UTC)Dunno if there's much logic to it. Maybe it harkens back to some part of the ancestral brain that still associates "bigger" with the idea of toughness or dominance.
I know that these things don't apply in real life so much, but I still enjoy seeing them undermined by dancing which seems like one of the least threatening things that a person can do.
Uhh... unless you're a really fierce voguer.

Date: 2004-11-18 01:17 pm (UTC)Is it wrong to think that you're just that much hotter, over a relatively trivial characteristic as height?

Date: 2004-11-18 04:51 pm (UTC)It's not really important though.
That's what I get for visualizing virtual people in my real life.
6'2". Wow.
And yes, kj is a giant.

Date: 2004-11-18 09:46 pm (UTC)In any case, Brodie, I've always thought you were just the right height. Perfect for smooching with, anyway. *grin*
